MLK Day
Itajah B
January 15th, 2018
A man that believed we could stand together hand in hand.
A time in history where if you were black the odds were against you. we were separated, cut down, reduced to nothing.
A man who believed in a nonviolent protest that we will one day stand together hand in hand equal in all sense of the word.
A man who said “I have a dream my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”.
This day symbolizes a person of great mental strength who believed that our constitution and our declaration of independence will one day uphold its meaning that “all men yes black men, as well as white men - would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.
These quotes are from Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I have a dream speech”.
